Our client, a rapidly expanding FinTech company, is at the forefront of technology-driven financial services. They are currently seeking a Junior Compliance Officer to strengthen their compliance operations and evolve alongside the business.
Role Description:
In the role of Junior Compliance Officer, you will be integral to enhancing the company's compliance framework, ensuring that all financial activities meet regulatory standards and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with the scrutiny and approval of financial promotions while managing customer grievances efficiently.
Support the analysis of transactions and respond to onboarding inquiries from new clients.
Contribute to completing RegData reports and processing Connect applications as needed.
Engage in the execution of the Compliance Monitoring program, which includes verifying best execution practices and overseeing financial promotions.
Aid in the revision of company policies and procedures and help conduct regulatory training sessions.
Stay updated on changes in regulatory landscapes and integrate these changes into company operations.
Develop and maintain compliance controls and procedures, ensuring compliance with standards such as FCA, AML/CTF, and more.
Collaborate with various teams including AML, Finance, Risk, Product, Tech, and Sales to maintain compliance standards.
Support the cultivation of a compliance-focused culture that puts consumer interests first.
Help refine compliance processes to meet both business needs and regulatory requirements.
Assist in managing risk-based compliance projects aimed at safeguarding consumers and adhering to financial crime regulations.
Prepare and present reports to management and the Board, outlining compliance statuses and identifying potential risks.
Experience & Qualifications:
Recent graduate or individual with up to one year of experience in compliance, finance, or a related sector.
A foundational understanding of compliance operations and UK regulatory frameworks.
A robust interest in FinTech with a keenness to progress within a startup environment.
Knowledge of regulatory standards, such as the FCA handbook, is beneficial.
Exceptional communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
