Graduate Sustainability Analyst Role
Your Role
As a Graduate Sustainability Analyst, you will primarily focus on back-office data work, carrying out various sustainability-related analyses that are key to shaping our environmental strategies. You'll have the opportunity to dive deep into data analytics, including embodied carbon assessments, building performance metrics, and lifecycle analyses. While your day-to-day responsibilities will be heavily data-driven, you will also gain exposure to front-office activities such as client interactions, workshops, and presentations. This blend of technical and client-facing experiences will allow you to explore the broader scope of sustainability consulting, preparing you for more outward-facing roles in the future.
Whether you're contributing to the refresh of a brand, planning an urban district, or analysing the sustainability of a building, your work will support the creation of resilient, impactful, and sustainable spaces. Your focus will be on addressing long- and short-term environmental challenges, enhancing comfort, health, productivity, and resource efficiency.
What You Will Do
- Conduct sustainability performance analyses, including embodied carbon, whole-building lifecycle, daylighting, energy efficiency, and climate impact assessments.
- Lead client meetings and workshops to present findings and assist in implementing sustainability strategies.
- Coordinate the integration of Building Information Modelling (BIM), lifecycle assessments, energy modelling, and other technical analyses into project designs.
- Collaborate with and guide project team members, offering support and training where necessary.
- Assist with managing project budgets, staffing, and client invoicing.
- Maintain quality control and consistency across projects, ensuring high standards.
- Stay informed on the latest sustainability tools, technologies, and regulations, offering clients valuable insights.
- Monitor local sustainability regulations and advise clients on compliance.
- Document sustainability practices and ensure they are shared across projects.
- Share key lessons from projects to help drive continuous improvement.
Your Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in sustainability, architecture, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Understanding of lifecycle assessments and integrating embodied carbon into sustainability goals.
- Knowledge of building performance analytics, climate-responsive design, and integrative design practices.
- Must be in possession or working towards level four FCA/PRA & investment, risk and taxation certificate.
- Strong organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to collaborate and mentor effectively.
